Adult Recreational League for NEW Players

Our Rec League is back with MAJOR CHANGES 

Introducing the Starter Division!

Starter DivisionDesigned for those who have completed the Adult Beginner Clinic and want to play organized hockey but still need some practice with offsides, icings, line changes, and more. Players deemed too good for this division will be moved to the Middle Division. 

Middle Division: Next step up from our Skills and Scrimmage program

  • This is designed for those who have completed our Adult Programs and want to play in certified games with official referees and scoring.
  • Designed to be a fun, balanced league to play with friends/family and meet new people.
  • No Playoffs or Championships in this League.
     

TOP Division: The Highest Division of our Rec League

  • Designed for those who are coming back into hockey after time off but are not ready for the competition of our Labatt/Southern Tier League or find the Middle Division too easy.
  • Designed to be a fun, balanced, and competitive league to play with friends/family and meet new people.
  • No Playoffs or Championships in this League.

League Rules/Information

  • League games start in November 8th and will run for 18 games on Friday and Saturday nights at HOLIDAY or LEISURE RINKS
  • League Cost: $379 players / $179 for goalies
  • ALL NEW PLAYERS MUST ATTEND A PLAYER EVALUATION SKATE (10/18/24)
  • NEW Evaluation Skate: On-Ice Staff will evaluate players with a new rating system.
  • NEW Captain's Council: Captains will vote on league rules and interpretations. 
  • NEW Weekly Official and Game Reviews
  • NEW Player Awards
  • Skaters deemed too good for this league will be removed from the League.
  • Players dropping out can receive a pro-rated STORE CREDIT.
  • Players may request up to ONE player to play with. Requests are not guaranteed and may be rejected to ensure a competitive balance.
  • ALL Players MUST have valid AAU Insurance. 
  • All Skaters MUST wear a full-face shield.
  • Players will receive a team jersey with matching socks at their first game.
  • Players in our former Novice League who are looking to play for a championship can move into our
    NEW LABATT ADULT HOCKEY TIER ‘C’ DIVISION
  • NOTE:  Players deemed too good for their division will be removed from the league and if possible placed on a Labatt League team. Players will be evaluated throughout the season.
