SUMMER 2012 CAMPS ANNOUNCED

Sport International Hockey Academy The 2012 Sport International Hockey Academy will be offering the Buffalo hockey community two weeks of exciting hockey instruction. We will be returning to the Leisure Rinks for two weeks of hockey camp, July 30 - August 3 and Aug 20-24, 2012.. Sport International is entering it's 23rd year of operation, and is a nationally recognized organization, offering programs in 35 cities. The Sport International Philosophy is "Total Hockey", with the accent on skill repetition and highly energized "originally designed" drills. Sport International is a fast paced program, perfect for any level of hockey player. Our highly qualified, "charismatic" college/professional staff, will ensure that every student, enjoys a positive learning experience. Each player will, receive their personalized take-home video analysis tape/DVD, for continuous future review. The SIHA "40 Hour Instructional Program", is widely respected, and clearly one of the leading camps in North America. Turcotte Stick Handling School Coming to Holiday Twin Rinks July 11 - 15, 2011 this specialized school is now in it's 38th year. With a student teacher ratio of 6 to 1 students will receive intense individual instruction including Stickhandling/Shooting, Power Skating as well as Team Skills and 4 on 4 Scrimmage games. Groups for Mites/Squirts 9:00 - 11:00 am & Pee Wee/Bantam 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Features 2 hours of ice time per Day.

Steal the show Overspeed and Defensemen Camps: These specialized instructional camps will be held the week of July 26 - 30 @ Holiday Twin Rinks and the week of August 16 - 20 @ Leisure Rinks. These camps will feature specific areas of concentration that will improve the players techniques and skills. The school will be instructed by Terry Miller. Anthony Micucci's School of Goaltending specialized instructional camps for Goaltenders will be held the week of July 25 - 29 @ Holiday Twin Rinks and the week of August 15 - 19 @ Leisure Rinks.. These camps will feature intense training, demonstration, proper instruction and repetition. This training allows these specialty positions to excel in game situations. National Powerskating 2011 Summer Program This 10 week summer program @ Holiday Twin Rinks (June 19, 26, July 10, 17, 24, 31 and August 7, 14, 21 & 28)  6:30 - 9:30 pm @ Holiday Twin rinks and will cover all aspects of technical skating instruction as well as puck handling and individual skills. The intense 50 minutes sessions will teach your skater the foundations and fundamentals to skating with SPEED and CONTROL both with and without the puck. There will be 3 Sessions. Session A (Skaters 4 to 7). Session B (Skaters 8 to 10). Session B (Skaters 9 & Older). Next Level Player Development:  Will host a 4 day camp this coming Summer June 27 - 30 @ Holiday Twin Rinks.  Our emphasis is placed on creative puck control skills in small areas with quick turns, spins, pivots, fakes, and constant inside and outside edge skating work..  Our off-ice dry land training helps define creative puck control skills. We run players through skill drills and show them how to practice these skills so they can keep developing even while they are away from the ice.  NLPD will work on four (4) quadrants of skill based on puck skills development. Our camps are structured, educational, but most of all... FUN!   We will have a class for Mite/Squirtage players 8:30 - 1:00 pm and for Pee Wee & Older players from 1:00 - 5:30 pm.  Cost is only $ 199.00.  Visit us at our website for more details.

H.I.T. - High Intensity Training Hockey School: This school is designed for the hockey player who is looking to further develop the skating and skill aspect of their individual game.  The camp will focus on: balance, edge work, puck work and recognizing and reacting to game situations.  We will place a special emphasis on defensive positioning and technique.  June 27 - July 1 @ Holiday Twin Rinks.   9:00 - 12:00 noon each day.  Cost is $ 275.00.  Instructed by Tom Dockery and Kyle Quick. Pro Hockey Development is a leader in hockey development for players of all ages. They are coming to Holiday Twin RinkPro Hockey Development Groups August 1 - August 5, 2011 for age groups 1998 - 2003.  Our Hockey Camps are great way to advance your skills in the Summer Months. The program takes a 4 prong approach to hockey development. We have narrowed the focus of our game to the most important skills that can accelerate a student's skill development. Power Skating, Puck Control, Off Ice Training and game scrimmages.     Buffalo Stars Winter "2011" Conditioning & Skills Program:  The Buffalo Stars Junior Hockey Coaches will conduct a weekly February-March Skills and Conditioning Program starting February 16th  at Holiday Twin Rinks. This program will be geared to the 1991 through 1996 aged player who wants to retain his skill set during the down time between the end of the season and Spring Camps and Clinics.  Cost for the 8 sessions is $160 if paid in advance. A limited number of weekly walk on players may be allowed at a fee of $25 per session. Space is limited to 5 goaltenders and 28 skaters.  We will offer a $15 discount if registered and paid by January 26th.     The Paul Grundtisch Hockey School's "Spring Break Clinic" will be held this year April 18 - 22, 2011 @ Holiday Twin Rinks. The class has been designed to improve and enhance the player's basic skills through instruction and skill development drills. This clinic is for boys and girls ages 6 - 9 & 9 - 13 with House League to Travel experience. (NO BEGINNERS PLEASE). Each day the clinic will include one hour of intense instruction. This will be followed by a 30 minute high paced scrimmage game game.  Cost is only $125.00
